CDAC’s central objective is to provide a coordinated service to enable humanitarian operations to get lifesaving information to affected populations and to channel their voices back to the providers of assistance working with local media and non mass media communications

Cote d’Ivoire is relapsing into civil war following a disputed presidential election in November 2010. Nearly half a million people have fled their homes, triggering a major humanitarian crisis.

infoasaid prepared and circulated a media and telecoms landscape guide of Cote d’Ivoire in November 2010 to help aid agencies establish two-way communications with disaster-affected populations in the event of just such an emergency.

We have now updated the Cote d’Ivoire guide to take account of fast moving developments in the local media environment up to March 2011.
